Dornbos Sign & Safety Inc. has been in business for over 60 years. It started out in Paul Callender's garage then moved to 619 W. Harris St. and has remained in the same location in Charlotte, Michigan ever since. Robert Dornbos, who was working for 3M selling reflective sheeting, used to call on Paul Callender and sold him his reflective materials. When Paul retired, John Callender and Robert Dornbos bought into the company to form Callender & Dornbos Inc. John Callender worked the east side of the state of Michigan while Bob Dornbos worked the west side of the state.

Over the years they both formed many good, long lasting relationships with many of the city and county road agencies around the state as well as many road contractors, universities, schools and private manufacturers. The Sign business has changed quite a bit since that time, but our key mission of providing high quality signs at competitive prices with excellent customer service has remained the same.

Dornbos Sign & Safety Inc. now works with many of the same city and county road agencies we did 60 years ago and has enjoyed expanding beyond the state of Michigan to serve customers throughout the U.S. We've since added many traffic control related products to our product mix as well as continued to work with local businesses for truck and vehicle graphics, and custom signs and decals.
